Description of the position:

This role is to assist and support the Planning Team in daily tasks and responsibilities, supporting the planning and coordination of aircraft maintenance activities by preparing job cards, schedules, and necessary documentation. Works with customers, Production, PED, and internal teams to ensure that maintenance work is organized, resources are available, and timelines are met. This role helps track project progress, gather and organize feedback, and assist with updating maintenance records. Supports the team by monitoring planned versus actual performance and helping to identify areas for process improvement, contributing to the efficient and high-quality completion of aircraft maintenance and repair projects. This role works under supervision, gradually progressing towards independent authorization.

Essential responsibilities:

Maintenance Planning & Project Preparation

• Assist in estimating required manhours, materials, tools, and turnaround time (TAT) for maintenance events.
• Help review customer work packages, including engineering orders (EO), component changes, and special tasks.
• Aid in evaluating access requirements, maintenance data, and special tool needs.
• Support the planning and scheduling of maintenance events, including forecasting defects and sequencing work for optimal efficiency.
• Prepare and update job cards, schedules, and related documentation under supervision.
• Participate in capacity and workload planning and assist in setting milestones and targets for the maintenance organization.
• Assist with the timely preparation of job cards for routine tasks and open items and help check for defects upon aircraft arrival.
• Support the revision and customization of job cards based on specific project or customer requirements.
• Help interpret customer and OEM technical documentation to accurately create or modify job cards.

Coordination and Communication

• Coordinate with internal teams (Production, PED) and assist in clarifying scope, priorities, and technical/commercial requirements.
• Act as a support contact for planning and job card activities, ensuring clear communication between all stakeholders.
• Attend and contribute to project meetings, such as pre-input, kick-off, and wash-up reviews.

Execution, Monitoring & Reporting:

• Track layover progress, man-hour consumption, TAT, and KPIs; assist in preparing progress and post-layover reports.
• Plan and re‑plan maintenance layovers in line with agreed Service Levels and capacity constraints.
• Help identify and report process inefficiencies and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Assist in clarifying technical issues and work scope with customers and other parties.
• Modify, add, or cancel job cards as required during the layover and certify Planning Statements for accurate Bill of Work updates-only with supervision.
• Interpret and translate Customer/OEM technical documentation into accurate job cards.

Quality and Compliance:

• Conduct basic quality checks of received documentation.
• Ensure planning and job card activities comply with FAA Part 145, RSQCM, IQ MOVE, training program requirements and internal standards.
• Liaise with the quality department as needed for documentation and compliance matters.
• Ensure customer requirements are reflected in planning documentation and commercial proposals, as directed.
• Maintain awareness of aircraft maintenance developments and production capabilities.
• Keep CRI data updated with new entries or changes as needed.
• Perform additional tasks and duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager.

Education, skills and competencies:

• Bachelor’s degree in Aircraft Engineering or in relevant engineering subject. 
• Minimum of two years of experience in aircraft maintenance / design / manufacturing environment.
• Professional training in aircraft maintenance with a minimum of three years of experience in aircraft maintenance / design / manufacturing environment
• Good understanding of creation and control of customer maintenance programs and MPD
• General familiarization course for at least one of the aircraft types maintained in the facility primarily stationed.
• Good knowledge of aircraft documentation, understanding of airworthiness, FAA requirements and aviation regulations, industry standards, and best practices for aircraft maintenance
• Ability to interpret Customer & OEM technical documentation.
• Microsoft Office literacy; experience with SAP/mJobCard advantageous.
• Fluent in English (both written and spoken)
