The X-Ray Technologist performs diagnostic imaging procedures using radiologic equipment to assist in patient diagnosis. They prepare patients, operate imaging devices, and ensure safety protocols are followed to deliver high-quality images and maintain a safe environment. Responsibilities:
- Establish rapport with patients to understand their service requirements and ease anxieties.
- Prepare patients for radiological procedures by correctly positioning them and adjusting immobilization devices and equipment.
- Operate radiologic equipment following safety standards to produce clear diagnostic images.
- Maintain documentation of patient interactions and imaging procedures accurately in medical records.
- Perform preventive maintenance on radiology equipment and troubleshoot malfunctions to ensure proper operation.
- Manage inventory of radiology supplies and ensure a safe, clean workspace in compliance with regulations.
- Graduate of an JCERT-accredited School of Radiologic Technology.
- Hold a current New York State License (L.R.T) and ARRT certification.
- Demonstrate competency in diagnostic radiologic procedures and equipment operation.
- Possess excellent communication skills for patient interaction and team collaboration.
- Show dependability, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety practices.
