Position Summary

Phoenix Children's is seeking a talented, innovative, and collaborative Pediatric Physiatrist to serve as Division Chief of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) within the Barrow Neurological Institute at Phoenix Children's. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing the clinical, educational, and research activities of the Pediatric PM&R Division while delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.

The Division Chief will lead a multidisciplinary team providing comprehensive care to pediatric patients with neuromuscular disorders, congenital conditions, and trauma-related injuries, while advancing program growth, quality initiatives, and academic excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Leadership
* Provide inpatient and outpatient care to pediatric PM&R patients
* Develop individualized treatment plans using medical, therapeutic, and rehabilitative interventions
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including neurology, orthopedics, surgery, and therapy services
* Share coverage of the inpatient rehabilitation unit, consult services, outpatient physiatry, and multidisciplinary clinics
* Practice evidence-based medicine to optimize outcomes and patient safety

Administrative & Division Leadership
* Lead daily operations, growth, and quality improvement initiatives for the PM&R Division
* Recruit, mentor, evaluate, and support physicians and clinical staff
* Monitor productivity, quality, and financial performance; participate in budget development
* Establish quality metrics and annual physician goals
* Serve as a liaison between the division, Phoenix Children's leadership, and PCMG administration

Education & Research
* Provide educational leadership for medical students, residents, fellows, and allied health professionals
* Participate in teaching rounds, lectures, and academic conferences
* Support and advance clinical research initiatives within Pediatric PM&R

Collaboration & Outreach
* Build relationships with internal departments, external institutions, and community partners
* Support referral pathways, outreach programs, and satellite expansion as needed

Qualifications

* MD or DO with board certification in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (pediatric subspecialty preferred)
* Eligibility for Arizona medical licensure
* Demonstrated clinical excellence in Pediatric PM&R
* Proven leadership experience in clinical and/or academic settings
* Strong communication, collaboration, and mentorship skills
* Commitment to education, research, and program development
* Experience or interest in botulinum toxin and phenol injections preferred
