Key Responsibilities\n

  • Conduct initial assessments with clients to determine their mental health status and treatment needs, utilizing standardized evaluation tools and clinical interviews.

  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans focused on the client's unique challenges, such as depression, anxiety, substance abuse, or eating disorders.

  • Facilitate regular follow-up sessions to monitor progress, adjust therapeutic approaches as needed, and provide clients with practical coping strategies and resources.

  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists and social workers, to ensure comprehensive care and refer clients to additional services when necessary.

  • Maintain accurate and compliant documentation of client interactions and treatment plans within the electronic health record system.

  • Utilize crisis intervention techniques effectively and assess risk in a timely manner to ensure client safety during sessions.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily work with clients who present with a range of mental health concerns, including mood disorders, anxiety disorders, and behavioral issues, as well as those facing challenges arising from life transitions or trauma. Our diverse patient population includes individuals from various cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds, emphasizing the importance of a culturally responsive approach in all therapeutic endeavors.

Qualifications\n

  • A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

  • Possession of a current and valid license as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Texas.

  • A minimum of four years of relevant clinical experience in providing mental health counseling.

  • Comprehensive understanding of mental health disorders and proficiency in employing evidence-based practices in therapy.
  • \n
  • Demonstrated ability to cultivate a therapeutic alliance with clients, utilizing excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and various computer applications to manage patient information effectively.
