Alumni Relations Assistant

The Alumni Relations office at Greenville University seeks a highly organized student to assist with alumni, church and community relations events and initiatives, as well as "Almost Alumni" (senior class) and "Legacy League" (next generation students of alumni) activities and other administrative support. The role involves communication support (print and digital), event production and database management.

Primary Responsibilities

• Assist with on-campus alumni-focused special events, including Greenville University Alumni Association (GUAA) Alumni Board weekends, Homecoming and various alumni special events.
• Assist with logistical planning and production of church relations activities.
• Assist with logistical planning and production of community relations activities.
• Facilitate and communicate with students regarding four "quarterly" "Almost Alumni" events.
• Facilitate and communicate with students of alumni families regarding "Legacy League" event assistance and gatherings.
• Assist with graduation activities in honor of new member of the GUAA.
• Provide administrative support to the director for Alumni Relations.
• Assist with maintenance of alumni files.
• Provide administrative support to other staff in advancement and alumni department when needed.

Requirements

• Must be a current GU Student enrolled in 6+credit hours
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Writing and social media communication experience.
• Ability to work with Excel and database systems (experience with Raiser's Edge NXT is a plus).
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
