Join GLS to grow with us!Benefits: GLS offers the below great benefits for your amazing work!o Competitive base pay and performance bonuses, dependent on roleo Medical, dental, vision, telemedicine, supplemental insurance benefits, long-term and short-term disabilityo 401K with employer match and 100% immediate vestingo Paid Time Off (PTO) and paid company holidays to help you balance work and personal lifeo Paid Volunteer Time Off (VTO) Annuallyo Tuition Reimbursement o Parental Leave o Business casual work environment***This posting is to enter our campus recruiting and entry-level process for position offers being made for 2026***What does it mean to be a Financial Planning Specialist at GLS?As a Financial Planning Specialist, you will support several functions that contribute to the overall financial success of the organization including but not limited to department-level budgeting and forecasting, detailed expense reporting and review, vendor management and analysis, headcount monitoring and forecasting, special cost savings projects, and monthly expense journal entries.How will you drive value within the organization as a Financial Planning Specialist?Update and maintain the department budget process; identify key monthly variances to budget and present to senior management; prepare materials for monthly and quarterly communications with department leadersMonitor monthly expenses with key vendors and identify material issues for senior managementCollaborate with Accounting team to determine and book monthly expense accrualsSupport the vendor management process with detailed financial analyses of vendor proposalMonitor and track monthly spend on third party labor; coordinate the capital expenditure accounting process with the Accounting department; coordinate with the IT department on third party labor allocationsCoordinate with senior management to identify cost savings projects; support or lead ad hoc cost savings projects as necessaryBuild and maintain detailed cost forecasts by department as necessarySupport the overall budgeting process by providing insights on cost trendsMaintain and build analyses to monitor headcount levels and trends, and allocate headcount by location; identify and explain key drivers of variances to employee expense as neededWhat should you already know to be successful in this role?Minimum of bachelor’s degree in Finance, Financial Management, Accounting, Mathematics, or a related field requiredBasic knowledge of accounting and financial concepts requiredStrong analytical, problem solving, data gathering, and analysis skills requiredStrong Excel skills required; basic knowledge least one computer coding language (VBA, SQL) preferredHigh level of intellectual curiosity required including the inclination and ability to understand the drivers of financial results and the overall financial picture of the organization at a high-levelHigh level of professional maturity; verbal and written communication skills necessary to interact with senior management requiredStrong drive, ambition, and self-motivation; ‘self-starter’ with the ability to independently resolve day-today issuesExcellent organizational skills with high attention to detailTeam player that can adapt in a fast paced and changing environmentCommitment to exemplifying the organizational core values and key competenciesEmployment Requirements: This is an exempt level position whereby business need will dictate the exact work schedule which should be expected to vary at times.
