This is a 1.0 FTE, 260-day position serving as Principal of Edgelea School. The initial contract will be a two-year term from July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2028. Edgelea is a Kindergarten through 4th grade public school serving approximately 450 students and supported by a staff of 70. The school is home to both the elementary High Ability program and the Dual Language Bilingual Education program. As a 1:1 Apple iPad school, Edgelea is equipped with the latest instructional technology. The successful candidate will be supported by a half-time Assistant Principal. This position includes a 260-day contract with a comprehensive benefits package, including 20 vacation days, 5 personal days, and 13 paid holidays. QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
- Education:
- A Master's degree in Educational Leadership, School Administration, or a related field.
- Experience:
- Classroom teaching experience required.
- Elementary teaching experience preferred.
- Building-level leadership experience required.
- Building-level administrative experience required.
- High Ability experience is preferred but not required.
- Dual Language Bilingual Education experience is preferred but not required.
- Certifications:
- Valid Indiana Building Level Administration or Superintendent license covering grades K-4.
- Skills:
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, parents, and community members.
