Greenpeace International is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Global Capital Campaign Director to join our team in a pivotal role, driving the successful delivery of a €100 million fundraising campaign that will build a new ship for Greenpeace, and scale our global campaigns for people and planet. If you are passionate about major gifts, fundraising innovation, and inspiring teams of fundraisers worldwide, this is your opportunity to contribute to a critical mission.
The role will be situated within Greenpeace International’s Fundraising department, and collaborating across the entire Greenpeace network to deliver high-impact, cross-organisational outcomes. You will be a vital link, empowering connection and collaboration between various international teams and national/regional offices.
You will lead, coordinate, and manage a global capital fundraising campaign, seeking to raise €100 million - a global total we plan to raise across multiple major gift markets. With €20 million pledged, we are off to a flying start, but there is still a long way to go, and this role will be instrumental in securing a bold new future for Greenpeace.
You will be both an innovative and inspiring fundraiser, and a meticulous project manager, delivering dynamic ways of working across the diverse, global teams you engage with. A key part of your work involves continuously monitoring progress, proactively identifying and mitigating potential risks, and supporting the financial management and transparent reporting of project expenditure to stakeholders and funders. You will also develop and nurture strong, collaborative relationships across all levels of the organisation, facilitating alignment and open communication to drive our collective success.
You may see more details in the job description here.

- Extensive experience in leading project management across multiple, complex workstreams.
- Experience in budget management, financial monitoring, and reporting for global or large-scale projects, including ensuring compliance with restricted income requirements.
- Experience in engaging with and managing the expectations of a wide range of diverse, senior-level stakeholders.
- Demonstrable commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion and ability to collaborate with cross-cultural teams
- Fluent in English, both verbal and written, and preferably one other language
- Digitally literate: able to work with digital tools and online systems; willing and able to learn new ones
- Flexible approach to working with colleagues across multiple time zones and open to international travel
- Support for and belief in the core aims and values of Greenpeace
What you can expect:
You’ll be encouraged to develop both personally and professionally, taking advantage of the wide range of learning and development opportunities available to our staff.
