About the Position
TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified PCU RN in Jackson, California, 95642!
Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 10 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years of stepdown, PCU, ICU, or telemetry experience required. Travel experience is required. License: Current Registered Nurse license required. Certifications: BLS ACLS NIHSS Must-Have: Epic experience required. Weekend rotation required. Ability to float within scope to meet facility needs. Description: The Registered Nurse will provide care in a progressive care unit. The unit has a 3:1 patient ratio. Daily census in the unit averages 6 patients. The Registered Nurse will work as part of an interdisciplinary team. Common patient diagnoses may include sepsis, CHF, diabetes, AFib, pneumonia, COVID, influenza, and SBO. Skills required include cardiac telemetry, managing ventilated patients, central line care, and interpretation of arterial blood gases. The Registered Nurse will also be responsible for medication administration and performing various nursing interventions. Candidates must possess strong communication and critical thinking skills.
