Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Panel Builder to assemble, wire, and test industrial electrical control panels used in automated equipment and manufacturing systems. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on electrical work and can follow schematics and wiring diagrams with accuracy.
What You'll Do
- Assemble electrical control panels from drawings and schematics
- Mount electrical components such as PLCs, relays, terminal blocks, breakers, and motor controls
- Route, label, and terminate wiring neatly and accurately
- Read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
- Perform point-to-point wiring and electrical assembly
- Test completed panels to ensure proper operation
- Troubleshoot and correct wiring issues as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow safety and quality standards
- Previous experience with panel building, electrical assembly, or industrial wiring
- Ability to read electrical schematics and blueprints
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, wire strippers, crimpers, and testing equipment
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Technical school training in electrical systems or industrial maintenance
- Experience with PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, or motor controls
- Experience in a manufacturing or automation environment
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Frequent bending, reaching, and lifting
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to distinguish wire colors and markings
