Key Responsibilities Guide a high-acuity, high-reliability Emergency Room service line that collaborates tightly with EMS, critical care, cardiology, trauma partners, and hospitalists to optimize door-to-provider flow, sepsis and stroke protocols, and rapid triage. Oversee daily operations, staffing and scheduling, budgeting, quality initiatives, regulatory readiness, and interdisciplinary coordination. Partner closely with the Director of Emergency Services and Chief Nursing Officer to implement and maintain a patient-first culture grounded in measurable outcomes, clinician-friendly tools, and a Just Culture approach to safety. Leverage robust clinical decision support, real-time quality dashboards, streamlined EHR workflows, and shared governance to drive throughput gains, experience improvements, and infection prevention excellence. Support innovation-forward initiatives such as hospital-at-home pilots, telehealth expansion, virtual nursing, simulation labs, tuition assistance, paid continuing education, conference funding, and clinical ladder development. Support & Resources Access to assistant nurse managers, charge RNs, an educator, clinical informatics, case management, social work, pharmacy, respiratory therapy, and security personnel.
