Radiology Technologist (X-Ray Tech) Per Diem

Position Summary Radiologic Technologist is a key member of the care team, responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures in support of high-quality, patient-centered care. This role collaborates closely with clinical staff to meet Care Center needs, operates within the defined scope of practice, and carries out responsibilities under the direction of Clinical Leadership. Key Duties and Responsibilities Maintaining knowledge of radiation equipment, including routine maintenance and care of equipment Perform radiologic examinations following Care Center protocols Operate radiologic and PACS equipment Proper patient positioning Calculate exposure factors and apply principles of radiation protection Evaluate procedure room and imaging equipment for technical quality and store images according to policy and guidelines Maintain documentation, reports, and files in the Electronic Medical Record Coordinate burning of discs or printing image QR codes for provider/patient needs Calculate and regulate equipment using established technique, knowledge, and skill Assist patients with pre and post procedures according to facility policy and established guidelines Assist with housekeeping tasks as necessary to provide a safe environment for patients, team members, physicians, and guests Assist other personnel as directed by Leadership Team Education and Experience High School Diploma or its Equivalent Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registration Current WA State Radiologic Technologist (WSRT) certification Clinical radiology experience preferred, but new grads welcome to apply Successful completion of BCLS Course within 90 days of employment required or documentation of current BCLS certification Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong customer service and interpersonal skills demonstrating patience, composure, and cooperation; working well with all patients, physicians and staff Understanding of and adherence to all safety, risk management and precautionary procedures, including consistent respect for confidentiality (HIPAA) Using time efficiently, with meticulous attention to detail, accuracy and completion Able to adapt to change, delays or unexpected events while maintaining a positive mindset Ability to remove oneself personally from given situations, remaining objective Clear oral and written communication Ability to follow established guidelines and detailed instructions with accuracy Works effectively with minimal supervision, applying a solution-oriented approach to challenges Work Environment/Physical Demands The work environment/physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a teammate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
