Warehouse Worker - 2nd ShiftEaton's EPG CHD EP Americas division is currently seeking a Warehouse Worker - 2nd Shift. This position is based at our Roanoke, VA facility.The hourly rate for this position is $21.51 plus $1.25 shift differential per hour plus additional $1.25 per hour shift differential. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.What You'll DoPosition Summary: Walk Pickers are responsible for picking appropriate items from stock inventory for redistribution to various locations in the facility. We have approximately 85,000 employees.Duties & Responsibilities:Manually pick products off shelves to fill orders.Transport in-progress orders to location of next item on order list.Lift products manually.Scan products using Radio Frequency (RF) units.Determine order information using Radio Frequency (RF) units.Fill boxes with packaging materials to avoid order damage.Lift products to place them in boxes.Follow safety procedures for equipment use to reduce potential for accidents.Count product quantities to fill orders.Transport picked orders to packing station to be prepared for shipping.Build appropriate (correct size) box based on order, weight, and size.Label boxes with barcodes for product and order tracking.Understand safety procedures for picking products off shelves.Follow packaging procedures for pallets to fill large orders.Monitor equipment to ensure proper functioning.Clean factory to maintain proper work environment.Review manifests, invoices, and orders to ensure accurate orders.Examine products to ensure damaged products are not shipped.Lift products to place them on pallet.Lift things from ground level to a level of 3 feet.Understand quota requirements to accomplish required production level.QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent.Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.Remain standing for an extended period of time up to 10 hours.Able to perform with constant movement of the arms.SkillsPreferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Knowledge:Production and Processing - Knowledge of techniques for maximizing the effective distribution of goods.Transportation - Knowledge of principles and methods for moving goods including the relative costs and benefits.Skills:Active Learning - Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.Active Listening - Understanding the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making.Critical Thinking - Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.Mathematics - Using mathematics to solve problems.Monitoring - Monitoring/Assessing performance of yourself, other individuals, or organizations to make improvements or take corrective action.Management of Material Resources - Obtaining and seeing to the appropriate use of equipment, facilities, and materials needed to do certain work.Time Management - Managing one's own time and the time of others.Abilities:Memorization - The ability to remember information such as words, numbers, pictures, and procedures.Perceptual Speed - The ability to quickly and accurately compare similarities and differences among sets of letters, numbers, objects, pictures, or patterns.
