This is a part-time position working 30 hours per week and may include nights, weekends, and/or holidays. Responsibilities Patrol the sawmill premises, including buildings, equipment areas, and perimeter fencing, to ensure site security. Monitor and respond to alarms, investigate disturbances, and report incidents. Control access at gates and entry points, verifying credentials of employees, visitors, and contractors. Identify and report fire hazards, safety violations, or signs of unauthorized access. Support safety compliance by observing and reporting unsafe conditions or behaviors. Assist with hot work permitting by performing fire watch duties as needed. Qualifications Physically capable of performing repetitive tasks for long hours such as walking, standing, and climbing stairs in an industrial environment. Comfortable working around loud noise, dust, and moving equipment in all weather conditions. Previous experience in security or industrial settings is an asset, along with the ability to operate alarm systems and emergency equipment. Strong observation and communication skills with a keen eye for detail and safety. Dependable, adaptable, and alert—ready to respond quickly and effectively in any situation.
