Pediatric Float Pool Registered Nurse (RN)This is a Pediatric Float Pool position, requiring a highly skilled Registered Nurse to provide care in various pediatric units.Position OverviewThe Pediatric Float Pool Registered Nurse will float to multiple pediatric units, including but not limited to:Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)Pediatric Medical-SurgicalPediatric Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)Pediatric Emergency Department boardersPostpartum/Mother-Baby unitScheduling and RequirementsShifts: Night 3x12 Hour (19:00 - 07:00)Contract Length: 13 weeksHours: Options between 36 or 48 hours per weekEvery other weekend and holiday commitment is requiredTime-off approvals for 40 hours possible; no requests for time off can be approved in the first two weeks of the assignmentQualificationsMust have PICU and NICU experience; previous float pool experience is acceptable2 years of PICU experience is requiredExperience in Pediatric PACU is highly preferredCertification in BLS, NRP, ACLS, and PALS is requiredDr. Brown's Infant Driven Feeding Certification is required (pending certification can be submitted, but there is an associated cost)Must adhere to the float policyEpic experience is necessaryVirginia nursing license pending is acceptableThis position represents an excellent opportunity for passionate and adaptable registered nurses looking to enhance their skills and deliver quality care across a range of pediatric settings.
