The Registered Nurse (RN) works in multiple physician offices to provide professional nursing care for patients including assessment, treatment, care planning, medical care evaluation, and education byfollowing established standards and practices. The RN float assists providers and staff in coordinating patient care and functions as a liaison between patients, staff, and providers.

• Work with physicians, nurses and patients to resolve questions concerning medications, health education, and medical advice within skill level and scope of practice
• Record and maintain complete and accurate records of patient and physician communications regarding medical care according to standard medical record documentation requirements
• Submit electronically/fax new prescriptions and refill prescriptions according to Physician orders.
• Serve as a resource to clinic staff regarding medical information, patient assessment, and nursing management of illness
• Acquire pre-certs/prior authorizations for patient needs

QUALIFICATIONS

• Associate's Degree -Required
• Bachelor's Degree - Preferred
• Valid RN license to practice in the state or as listed in the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) upon hire - Required
• 2 years Nursing/Patient Care - Preferred
• Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association
