Job DescriptionThis position will be responsible for the analysis, design, testing, development and maintenance of best in class software experiences. The candidate is a self-motivated individual who can collaborate with a team and across the organization. The candidate takes responsibility of the software artifacts produced adhering to U.S. Bank standards in order to ensure minimal impact to the customer experience. The candidate will be adept with the agile software development lifecycle and DevOps principles.Essential Responsibilities:Design, develop, test, and maintain full-stack applications, including React-based UI, APIs, and backend servicesLead and contribute to modernization initiatives, migrating legacy/on-prem systems to cloud-native architectures (AWS/Azure)Build and enhance scalable, secure APIs and microservices aligned with enterprise architecture and performance standardsCollaborate in Agile teams to deliver high-quality code, participate in design reviews, and continuously improve engineering practicesImplement and support CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and automation, ensuring reliable and efficient deploymentsTroubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and drive improvements in performance, reliability, and securityBasic QualificationsBachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experienceTwo to three years of relevant experiencePreferred Skills/ExperienceStrong hands-on experience with React.js and modern JavaScript frameworks (AngularJS familiarity a plus)Experience building and integrating RESTful APIs / microservicesProven experience in full-stack development across UI, services, and backend systemsHands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure), including application migration, configuration, and integrationsExperience modernizing legacy/on-prem platforms to cloud-based architecturesStrong database expertise with Oracle or PostgreSQL, including DDL/DML and performance tuningFamiliarity with DevOps / CI-CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab, Kubernetes, Rancher)Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum/Kanban) using Jira and ConfluenceExperience with identity & security frameworks (IAM, SSO, OAuth2, JWT, Active Directory, TLS/mTLS)Exposure to enterprise security architectures and cross-platform security implementationProficiency with AI-assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot, Claude, etc.) for coding and debuggingStrong troubleshooting skills, including production support, vulnerability remediation, and release managementKnowledge of data engineering and platform best practices (testing, observability, performance tuning, cost optimization)This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.Location expectations This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week.If there’s anything we can do to accommodate a disability during any portion of the application or hiring process, please refer to our disability accommodations for applicants.Benefits:Our approach to benefits and total rewards considers our team members’ whole selves and what may be needed to thrive in and outside work.
