About this Role QISG is hiring a Commissioning Manager to support the IPA power generation project in Delta, Utah. Position Highlights: Long-term project assignment in Delta, UT Lead and oversee commissioning activities from construction turnover through startup, testing, and final project acceptance Coordinate closely with engineering, construction, clients, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure successful system turnover Ensure systems are installed, tested, and commissioned in accordance with contract requirements, safety standards, and project schedules This is a full-time, permanent QISG position with opportunities to transition to future projects after completion Must be willing to maintain a strong onsite presence at the project site What You'll Do Duties Lead and manage all commissioning activities from project planning through final turnover Develop and execute commissioning plans, division of responsibility with subcontractors, schedules, and procedures Coordinate with engineering, construction, and project management teams to ensure system readiness Oversee pre-functional testing, functional performance testing, and system start-up Review design documents, specifications, and drawings for commissioning requirements Manage commissioning documentation, reports, and closeout packages Interface directly with clients, vendors, and subcontractors during commissioning phases Identify, track, and resolve commissioning issues and deficiencies Coordinate with subcontractor and stakeholder teams to ensure full alignment on scope, schedule and execution Ensure commissioning activities comply with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements Support training of operations and maintenance personnel as required Participate in project meetings and provide regular status updates Adheres to internal standards, policies, and procedures Performs special projects and complete other duties as assigned or requested What You'll Bring Required Experience and Education Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field (or equivalent experience) Minimum of 5–10 years of experience in commissioning management on large project execution Strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, and/or control systems Proven experience managing commissioning activities on complex projects Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications Commissioning certifications (e.g., AABC, ASHRAE, or equivalent) Prior experience in a client-facing role Experience in large utility substation or infrastructure projects Experience in HVDC converter stations is a plus Skills Strong people relationship management skills Self-starter and strong organizational skills Strong problem evaluation / solving skills Strong team building skills Ability to interact effectively and professionally with the design team and construction teams Strong management and communication (electronic, written, and verbal) skills Proficiency with MS Office and project documentation tools Travel Requirements Travel: Yes Percent of Time: Up to 100% What You’ll Get Competitive Compensation Comprehensive Health Coverage - Multiple Medical, dental & vision plans with 100% preventive care 24/7 telehealth (Teladoc) Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Company-funded HSA and pre-tax savings options 401(k) Retirement Plan No-cost Short- and Long-term Disability Employer-paid basic Life & AD&D Insurance Paid Time off (PTO) and 10 Paid Holidays Paid Parental leave Education Reimbursement and Professional Development Employee discount program and optional insurance offerings: Identity Theft Protection Accident Insurance Voluntary Life (spouse and child) Critical Illness Hospital Indemnity Pet Insurance Equal Opportunity Employer All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment and will not be discriminated against on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin or ancestry, sex (including gender, pregnancy, sexual orientation, and/or gender identity), age, disability, genetic information, veteran status, and/or any other basis protected by applicable federal, state or local law.We are an Equal Opportunity Employer, including disability and protected veteran status.
