Leveraged Finance/Private Credit Senior Associate

Job OverviewA law firm seeks a Senior Associate with 5-7 years of experience to join its Finance & Financial Services practice in Dallas. The candidate will represent financial institutions and private credit funds in complex transactions, including multi-lender facilities and structured solutions. The role involves direct client interaction and transaction management in a dynamic environment. Duties Manage sponsor-backed acquisition financings, including cross-border and multi-currency deals. Handle cash-flow and asset-based lending, including senior and superpriority revolvers. Oversee multi-lender facilities and intercreditor arrangements. Negotiate mezzanine debt, preferred equity co-investments, and structured solutions. Conduct liability management transactions, including covenant resets and amendments. Lead amend-and-extend transactions, refinancings, and recapitalizations. Requirements 5-7 years' experience in leveraged finance/private credit at a national firm. JD from an ABA-accredited law school. Bar admission in FL, NY, MA, IL, GA, NC, TX, or eligibility to become licensed. Residence in the Dallas area required at or prior to hire. Familiarity with LMEs, unitranche structures, and sponsor finance terms. Strong drafting skills and commercial awareness. Big-law training and experience with sophisticated deals. Education JD from an ABA-accredited law school. Certifications Bar admission in one or more specified jurisdictions preferred. Skills Excellent communication and client management skills.
