Step into a Day on the Barrel Bar Line

You clock in, review the work queue on your tablet, and head to your station. First up: sorting raw material. With go/no‑go gauges in hand, you assess straightness and separate anything that needs correction. Next, you move to the hydraulic press, making precise adjustments to bring each bar within spec. A quick verification with product‑specific gauges confirms you’ve nailed the tolerance.

As orders progress, you transition to fully and semi‑automated grinding equipment, dialing in settings to achieve the intended specifications. Once the finish is just right, you laser‑etch each product, box the final pieces, and record every step in the ERP system using a computer or PC‑based tablet. Throughout the shift, you keep your area clean, perform routine maintenance checks, and collaborate with peers and leaders to maintain a safe, respectful workplace.

• Sort material for straightness using go/no‑go gauges.
• Straighten stock to specification with a hydraulic press and confirm results with product‑specific gauges.
• Operate fully automated and semi‑automated grinding machines to meet target dimensions and finish.
• Laser‑etch identification on finished product and complete final boxing.
• Record transactions and progress in the ERP system via computer or tablet.
• Perform routine maintenance and uphold excellent housekeeping standards.
• Perform duties according to health and safety requirements in accordance with Anderson International policy and procedures.
• Conform to all Anderson International plant policies and procedures; populate documentation tied to inspection, maintenance, inventory, and health & safety.
• Abide by all training, policies, and procedures set forth by Anderson International.
• Partner with teammates and management to achieve positive outcomes and sustain a safe, respectful environment.

Support the production of Anderson International’s proprietary barrel bars at multiple stages of the process. You’ll help meet production targets, maintain quality, and work safely and effectively from start to finish.

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Entry‑level friendly: Prior manufacturing experience not required; full training provided after hire.
• Must pass a basic mechanical aptitude test and demonstrate the ability to read, write, and clearly articulate information (verbal and written).
• Comfort reading drawings, diagrams, and shop documents; perform simple math and measurements; accurately record information on provided forms.
• Detail‑oriented with a keen eye for aesthetics and quality.
• Able to work with automated, semi‑automated, manual, and powered hand tools.
• Experience in repetitive production work is helpful; operating mechanical equipment is a plus but not required.
• Basic computer literacy and effective written/verbal communication.
• Enjoys consistent, repetitive tasks with a stable daily routine.
• Team‑oriented and resilient when facing challenges.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

• Plant setting with regular interaction with people, equipment, and materials.
• Activities include standing, sitting, walking, reaching, lifting, and handling objects.
• Vision needs include close and distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
• Overtime may be required based on workload, including weekdays and weekends.
