Role Description The Office/Sales Associate is a full-time, on-site role based in Southington, CT. This role involves greeting customers in person and by phone, responding to inquiries, and providing a professional, welcoming experience. The associate will support the sales process by discussing coverage options, preparing quotes, and assisting with applications and policy changes in alignment with agency and State Farm guidelines. Day-to-day responsibilities include handling billing and payment questions, maintaining accurate customer records in agency systems, and following up on leads to schedule appointments or close sales opportunities. The role also includes performing general office tasks such as managing mail, organizing documents, and supporting marketing and outreach efforts to help grow the agency’s customer base. Qualifications Customer service and communication skills, including clear verbal and written communication and a professional, friendly phone manner. Sales and relationship-building skills, with the ability to identify customer needs, present solutions, and follow up on leads. Organizational and administrative skills, including attention to detail, accurate data entry, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities. Comfort with office technology and software, such as CRM systems, email, calendars, and basic spreadsheets or documents. Ability to work on-site full time in Southington, CT, collaborate with a small team, and contribute to a positive office environment. Willingness to obtain applicable insurance licenses as required by the state (support may be provided for licensing). Prior experience in insurance, financial services, retail, or another customer-facing role is beneficial but not required.
