Position: Retail Banking Sales & Service Associate Location: 1301 8th Avenue West Application Deadline: 07/30/2026 Responsibilities Deliver exceptional service to BMO customers and prospects by identifying needs and providing advice on financial solutions. Engage customers proactively with needs‑based assessments to grow loyalty and identify immediate or future opportunities across everyday banking, retail investments, lending, home financing (including business‑for‑self applications), and small business solutions. Recommend tailored solutions that address both sales and service needs while ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Support customer transactions, generate appointments, and build new relationships within the community. Resolve questions and issues through consumer credit audits and quality checks to ensure accurate data entry and lending application recommendations. Apply the risk management framework to protect the Bank’s assets and maintain portfolio quality, making credit recommendations for personal lending transactions in accordance with sound credit granting principles. Provoke understanding of customers’ personal banking and credit card needs, integrating marketing promotions and programs into conversations. Organize work information for accuracy and completeness, and identify creative approaches that personalize each customer experience. Contribute to business results, ongoing improvement of the overall customer experience, and collaboration with the branch and market team. Identify and report suspicious patterns of activity related to money laundering, and maintain privacy, ethics, and security standards. Complete complex and diverse tasks within given rules/limits, handle escalations, analyze issues, determine next steps, and take measured risks while protecting the bank. Qualifications Typically 2–3 years of relevant experience and a post‑secondary degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Canada only: Registration to sell investment products completed as appropriate for the jurisdiction; appropriate lending qualifications and designations. U.S. only: Originator qualification, including Federal registration with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry, and compliance with RegulationZ, RegulationG, and the SAFE Act. Working knowledge of personal and small business customer needs and solutions; retail investments and lending products. Experience in financial services or a consultative customer service or sales role that drives personal customer experience. Skills & Attributes Confident and experienced in using social media, tablets, smartphones, and online tools. Strong interpersonal skills, adept at building rapport and connections with customers. Ability to listen, solve problems, and respond flexibly and creatively to new challenges. Resourceful self‑starter with courage and confidence to approach customers and collaborate in a team‑based environment. Good verbal & written communication, organization, collaboration, and analytical/problem‑solving skills (Good). Compensation and Benefits Salary: $41,714.00 – $65,000.00 (Salaried).
