Job Description:
We are currently hiring for a Hog Procurement Trainee position for candidates with a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture or a livestock production background.
Role Responsibilities
- Assist with livestock receiving activities including sorting, weighing, counting, and identification.
- Train alongside experienced hog buyers in the field.
- Learn hog procurement programs, carcass merit, harvest sheet information, and other buying procedures.
- Support scheduling and coordination of livestock deliveries.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Agriculture or related livestrock background required.
- Livestock experience is preferred.
- Basic computer knowledge and strong communication skills required.
- Must be detail-oriented and open to overnight travel when needed.
