Overview Join E‑Therapy as an Onsite Special Education Teacher in Crewe, VA for the 26/27 School Year. E‑Therapy is hiring for a special education teacher to support students with individual education plans. Position Details Start Date: August 2026 for the 26/27 school year Hours: Full-time (37.5 hours/week) Grade Levels: Elementary and middle school positions available Credentials: VA Special Education Teacher credential required Compensation: Starting at $42/hour (commensurate with experience) Location: Crewe, VA – Onsite Only Responsibilities Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities. Provide specialized instruction in core academic subjects and functional skills, adapting curriculum and teaching strategies. Use evidence‑based teaching practices and assistive technologies to facilitate learning. Monitor and assess students’ progress toward IEP goals, adjusting strategies as needed. Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to promote inclusive practices and provide accommodations. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress and communication. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, including IEP and student support team meetings. Provide support and guidance to paraprofessionals and other support staff. Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or related field. Valid state teaching license or certification in Special Education. Previous experience teaching students with disabilities. Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Special Education Teacher in the state of residence. Passionate about working with students in a virtual or onsite setting to help them achieve their best. Knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices. Strong understanding of differentiated instruction and behavior management techniques. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in documentation and record-keeping.
