  • Target Management: Establish ambitious annual fundraising goals, systematically track performance metrics, and pivot strategies to meet or exceed targets.
  • Diversification: Identify, research, and pursue emerging funding opportunities to strengthen financial sustainability.

  • Portfolio Management: Actively manage a portfolio of major donors, prospective supporters, and key community stakeholders.
  • Relationship Stewardship: Cultivate, solicit, and steward donors through highly personalized engagement plans and effective communications.
  • Leadership Empowerment: Equip the CEO and Board members to effectively participate in relationship-building and donor solicitations.
  • Donor Retention: Implement gold standard donor appreciation, recognition, and retention strategies.

Campaigns, Events & Corporate Partnerships

  • Event Oversight: Supervise the creative planning, budget management, and execution of signature fundraising campaigns and special events.
  • Corporate Alliances: Build and fortify mutually beneficial corporate partnerships to increase corporate social responsibility (CSR) investment.
  • Brand Integrity: Ensure all fundraising activities and materials align with Boys & Girls Clubs brand and mission.

Community Representation & Ambassadorship

  • Public Visibility: Serve as a primary public ambassador for the Club, expanding its footprint across Southeast Wyoming business and civic sectors.
  • Network Building: Maintain a highly visible presence at business functions, civic organizations, and community meetings.

Data Management & Analytics

  • CRM Leadership: Serve as the organizational champion for Salesforce software, optimizing the system for donor tracking, pipeline management, and data analytics.
  • Data Integrity: Establish and enforce best practices for CRM utilization, data cleanliness, and gift processing across the team.
  • Reporting & Dashboards: Generate comprehensive reports and real-time dashboards to brief executive leadership and the Board on development KPIs.

Team Collaboration & Culture

  • Philanthropic Culture: Foster a culture of philanthropy among internal staff, volunteers, and the Board.
  • Cross-Functional Alignment: Partner with program directors to understand operational needs and map them directly to funding opportunities.

Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

  • Fundraising Experience: Nonprofit development experience and passion, with a proven ability of securing major gifts, corporate sponsorships, and meeting revenue goals.
  • CRM Management: Leverage CRM software experience to manage donor databases, execute data analytics, and deliver strategic reports. Salesforce experience preferred.
  • Communication: Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills; ability to craft compelling cases for support, grant concepts, and donor proposals.
  • Relationship Builder: Natural ability to connect genuinely with diverse audiences, including corporate executives, foundations, volunteers, and staff.
  • Strategic Execution: Proven ability to transition seamlessly between macro-level strategy design and micro-level execution in a fast-paced setting.
  • Autonomy & Judgment: High degree of professional integrity, emotional intelligence, discretion, and sound judgment when handling sensitive donor information.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, communications, or related field, preferred.

Physical & Mental Demands

  • Frequent travel across Southeast Wyoming; reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license required.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends for events or donor meetings.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting or standing at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 20 pounds of event supplies or marketing materials.
  • Resilience to manage multiple competing priorities, adapt to unexpected interruptions, and maintain focus in a high-energy environment.
