Special Education Teacher

We are currently offering highly competitive salaries for experienced General Studies Special Education Teacher with Master's degrees at our Brooklyn school. The General Studies Specialist will provide push-in and/or pull-out support in reading, decoding, and/or reading comprehension/writing to small groups of up to 6 students in grades 1-5. Responsibilities: Provide support in reading decoding and reading comprehension. Modify curriculum to address the needs and limitationsof struggling students. Communicate regularly with parents on student progress. Developalternativeassessment methods for students to show what they've learned. Qualifications : Master’s Degree or NY Certification in Special Education Experience working with special education students in small groups on reading decoding and comprehension.
