This position provides leadership helping the Agile teams adhere to the rules of Scrum, applies the practices and principles of SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework for Enterprise), and works within and outside the team to remove impediments. This position creates and fosters an environment of transparency and continuous improvement by proactively communicating with the team, management, and outside stakeholders.Primary ResponsibilitiesFocuses the Agile team on delivering planned valueEnsures the team(s) achieve their stated objectives by reinforcing SAFe framework and Scrum principles, keeping the team focused on their goals, and facilitating all standard ceremoniesGuides the team and organization on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and valuesGuides the team on how to get the most out of self-organizationGuides the team on self-organizing to fill in the intentional gaps left in the Agile/Scrum frameworksAssesses the Scrum maturity of the team and organization and coaches the team to higher levels of maturity, at a pace that is sustainable and comfortable for the team and organizationFacilitates getting the work doneAddresses and eliminates impediments beyond the team’s authority or items that require support from other teamsGuides the team to remove impediments by finding the right personnel to remove the impedimentBuilds an environment of continuous improvement and encourages a healthy intra-team dynamic by facilitating team retrospectives, coaching team on problem solving and conflict resolution, and escalating issues when necessaryFacilitates discussion, decision making, and conflict resolutionCoordinates with other teams (DevOps, System Teams, Shared Services and other Scrum Masters) passing information to others and back to the team as neededAssists with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and radiating informationSupports and educates the Product Owner, especially with respect to maintenance and work on the product backlogGuides the team through estimating and forecastingEnsures compliance with risk management programs, rules and regulations, and cybersecurity practices; identifies opportunities for and supports process improvements; applies disciplined change management practicesThis position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay. RequirementsBachelor's degree or equivalent work experienceFour (4) years of relevant business/development support, user story creation, writing, and estimationExperience with Agile and/or SCRUMExperience communicating technical information to a non-technical audienceCertifications/LicensuresFirst Level Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM I) and/or SAFe Practitioner certificationPreferencesFour (4) years of Project Management experience preferably in Information TechnologyExtensive Agile and/or Scrum experience; Second level Scrum Master certification (CSP, PSM II) and/or SAFe Advanced Scrum Master certificationExperience in the Scrum Master role for four (4) years for a software development team diligently applying Scrum principles, practices, and theoryExperience as a Team Leader and coaching, training, or developing teamsKnowledge of other Agile approaches such as XP, Kanban, Crystal, FDD, etc.Knowledge and/or experience with widely successful Agile techniques: User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile GamesWorking knowledge of SAFeSkills and CompetenciesAbility to interpret and ensure compliance with applicable rules, regulations, and industry guidanceKnowledge of well-documented patterns and techniques for filling in the intentional gaps left in the Scrum approach (example: numerous Burndown techniques, Retrospective formats, handling of bugs, etc.)Strong collaboration, facilitation, and conflict management skillsStrong skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparencyAdditional Job RequirementsServe as Scrum Master for multiple Agile teams supporting Salesforce CRM and nCino loan origination platforms.Facilitate Scrum ceremonies, drive Agile best practices, and proactively managecross-team dependencies, risks, and impediments.Partner closely with Product Owners, Engineering Leaders, and key stakeholders to align priorities and deliver business outcomes.Lead program-level planning, coordination, and execution across multiple teams.Provide executive-level reporting and insights on team health, delivery progress, and key initiatives.Support and lead the migration from Azure DevOps to Jira, including Jira setup, configuration, governance, and reporting.Strong experience with Jira, Agile delivery frameworks, and Scrum methodologies; SAFe Scrum Master certification preferred.Excellent communication, relationship-building, organizational, and time management skills with strong attention to detail.This position is intended to be onsite, now or in the near future. Associates will have regular work hours, including full days in the office three or more days a week. The manager will set the work schedule for this position, including in-office expectations. Regions will not provide relocation assistance for this position, and relocation would be at your expense. This position must be within a reasonable driving distance to Birmingham, AL.This position may be filled at a higher level depending on the candidate’s qualifications and relevant experience.Regions will not sponsor applicants for work visas for this position at this time. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role.
