Neuro-Oncology Imaging Fellowship

This fellowship within the Department of Radiology is designed to provide fellows with extensive experience in MRI and CT of adult and pediatric neuro‑oncologic imaging. This program includes training in conventional diagnostic imaging of the brain, spine, and head and neck, as well as in advanced imaging techniques (i.e., perfusion and diffusion imaging, spectroscopy, and functional MRI). The program will also provide opportunities to perform and assist in various interventional procedures including lumbar and cervical punctures, myelograms, spine and head and neck biopsies, and kyphoplasty. The Department of Radiology is a fully equipped teaching, research, and clinical facility with long‑standing support from federal and private agencies for ongoing research and development. Its exceptional facilities enable the development of advanced cancer imaging methods. Our state‑of‑the‑art equipment includes eighteen CT scanners (16‑ and 64‑slice and dual‑energy) and twenty‑five MRI scanners (fifteen 3T and nine 1.5T) and one 1.5T intraoperative MRI. The neuroradiology service within the Department of Radiology includes 23 faculty members with subspecialties in head and neck, spine, and brain imaging. We are currently accepting applications for the 2026–2027 and 2027–2028 academic years. US applicants must be board‑eligible or board‑certified in radiology, as well as have a License to Practice Medicine in New York State before the start of the fellowship. Foreign applicants must obtain ECFMG certification, a clinical visa, and a Limited Permit or a full License to Practice Medicine in New York State prior to the fellowship.
