We are currently seeking a maintenance technician to join our team! This ideal candidate will be responsible for performing routine maintenance of shopping centers primarily in west Los Angeles and the Southbay. The maintenance will consist of painting, cleaning, removing graffiti, moving furniture, power washing as needed, climbing up onto roofs to trouble shoot roof leaks or issues as directed as well as responding to trip hazards and removing or dealing with illegal dumping or damage caused by patrons and or vandalism. Required skill sets are significant experience with painting, drywall and light electrical and plumbing with a minimum of 15 years of experience in these trades as we want this employee to handle simple tenant improvements. The candidate will also be required to drive to properties in the company portfolio directed by the supervisor to ensure that the properties are clean, free of debris, graffiti or report any vandalism.  Please indicate your city of residence as we will give preference to candidates who live in west LA, Southbay, southern San Fernando Valley or west of the 605 freeway.

This candidate must have a valid California driver's license and liability auto insurance.  The company will pay a mileage reimbursement for the use of employee’s vehicle to go to sites in addition to the daily commute to Redondo Beach. The candidate will be punctual, reliable and be able to communicate effectively with other staff members, commercial tenants and outside vendors. This candidate should be able to multitask and prioritize work and any issues effectively. The position will require the technician to be stationed and begin the workday at our Redondo Shores shopping center in Redondo Beach.

The candidate should also possess general computer skills as it will require that an electronic timecard be completed and access and response to emails will be fundamental in this role. This role is a full-time Monday - Friday position although, as with all employees, will be expected to answer any after hour emergency calls and direct them to the appropriate parties or the supervisor.  This is a non-exempt position so is eligible for overtime.
