Registrar Clerk

This position plays a key role in supporting the Registrar's Office by providing triage services, including handling walk-ins, emails, and telephone inquiries, to assist our client's community. The role ensures the continuity and resolution of issues or questions, tracking them to completion. Additionally, this position is responsible for managing the Freshdesk system and reports directly to the Associate Registrar.

Greets visitors to the Registrar's Office (walk-ins, emails, and telephone calls) to ensure timely and accurate resolution of questions or issues related to the Registrar's Office. These initial interactions are critical to delivering quality service to our client's community in a positive and respectful manner.

Utilizes the Freshdesk system to complete daily tasks, including:

Student name changes

Address changes

FERPA form processing

Part-time registration

Paid cancel processing

Transcript requests

Internship documentation

Summer transient forms

Prepares and distributes enrollment verification letters.

Manages all transcript orders through the National Student Clearinghouse.

Schedules appointments for the Graduation Analyst using the Bookings system.

Assists in supervising student employees (work-study).

Supports the Registrar in monitoring the client's compliance with FERPA regulations.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Associate's degree or equivalent work experience.

Knowledge of higher education, Registrar functions, and procedures.

1-3 Years of Experience

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required (Intermediate Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills).

Bachelor's degree preferred.

2+ years of customer service experience in a related field.

Customer-oriented attitude.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to establish and nurture beneficial business relationships.

Ability to work independently in a fast-paced office with frequent interruptions.

This position is generally performed in a professional office setting; 70% sitting, 20% standing, and 10% walking.

Ability to lift/move up to 20 pounds.
