Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Summary:
Provides urgent and critical nursing care in the emergency department, assessing patient conditions, developing care plans, and administering treatments. Delivers compassionate support to patients and families while ensuring compliance with clinical protocols and safety standards.

Responsibilities:

• Perform thorough assessments of emergency patients to determine immediate care needs.
• Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans based on patient diagnoses and condition changes.
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions in accordance with physician orders and clinical protocols.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and ensure optimal outcomes.
• Document all patient interactions, assessments, and treatments accurately and promptly.
• Re-evaluate patient conditions regularly to adjust care objectives and interventions as necessary.

Qualifications:

• Maintain an active South Dakota or Compact RN license.
• Possess 2+ years of current ER RN experience in an acute hospital setting.
• Hold active BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications.
• Demonstrate proficiency in emergency nursing skills and trauma care.
• Provide references from within the last year verifying supervisory experience.
• Have a COVID-19 vaccination compliance.
