Build Something That Floats, Flies, or Hits the Water: Gel Coat & Chop Gun Operators Wanted
Location: Jacksonville, FL (Near EverBank stadium)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM Eastern
Pay: $17/hr to start with no experience, up to $30–32/hr for experienced operators
Every great fiberglass part starts with two people: the one who lays down a flawless gel coat, and the one who builds the strength behind it with a chop gun. Get either step wrong and nothing else matters. Get it right and you’ve made something built to last for decades.
We’re looking for people who want to be those people. This is an awesome opportunity to learn a new skill that's rare in Jacksonville!
Never touched a spray gun? Good. We’ll teach you. Our new operators start at $17/hr and learn the craft hands-on, side by side with experienced team members. Most people are working at full speed within about six months, and your pay grows as your skills do.
Already know your way around gel coat or a chopper gun? Then you know how hard it is to find a shop that pays for real skill. Experienced operators can earn up to $30–32/hr, and we’d like to talk to you next week.
What you’ll do
You’ll spray gel coat into molds with even, consistent coverage, and run chop gun equipment to apply resin and fiberglass. You’ll keep an eye on thickness, cure, and finish quality, prep and maintain molds and equipment, and work safely with the right PPE in a team-focused production environment.
Who we’re looking for
We want people who take pride in doing things right the first time, who are reliable, show up on time, and are ready to start early. You should be comfortable with physical, hands-on work. Experience helps, but attitude and willingness to learn matter more.
