Bower Santa Monica is a new restaurant opening this September at the Colorado Center, a premier 15-acre office campus in Santa Monica. Bower, spanning 6,500 square feet, brings together California Coastal cuisine with influences from Australian café culture as well as Mediterranean and Southeast Asian flavors. From daytime espresso, grain bowls, and smoothies to evening shareable plates, whole-grilled fish, and cocktails.

Founded by restaurateur Dave Harper (Bondi Harvest, Amigo Roasters, Likeminded Wellness Club, El Chucho) in partnership with BXP and New School Hospitality, Bower is rooted in a love of surfing, coastal living, and genuine community. With warm, earthy interiors, open-air accordion doors, and an outdoor patio, we're creating a laid-back yet vibrant gathering space for the people who work, live, and play on the Westside.

Position Overview 

As a Hourly Supervisor at Bower, you are responsible for leading the daily Front of House operation and ensuring every guest receives warm, attentive, and seamless hospitality. Working closely with the General Manager, Executive Chef, and leadership team, you will oversee service execution, coach and develop staff, maintain operational standards, and foster a positive, high-performing team culture.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on hospitality leader who thrives in a fast-paced, hospitality-driven environment, possesses exceptional communication and leadership skills, and is passionate about creating memorable guest experiences from the first cup of coffee through dinner service.

• Ability to maintain a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to maintain regular and punctual attendance
• Minimum of 3 years of restaurant management experience in a high-volume, upscale casual, or chef-driven restaurant
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Experience coaching, developing, and leading hospitality teams
• Knowledge of POS systems, reservation platforms, and FOH operations
• Knowledge of specialty coffee, wine, spirits, and craft cocktails preferred
• Food Handler Certification and Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) Certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)

• Lead daily Front of House operations while delivering exceptional guest experiences
• Coach, mentor, and support FOH team members while maintaining service and appearance standards
• Monitor dining room flow, reservations, seating, and service pacing throughout each shift
• Resolve guest concerns professionally and ensure all food and beverage service meets Bower standards
• Lead pre-shift meetings and communicate menu updates, events, VIPs, and operational priorities
• Assist with scheduling, labor management, inventory, cash handling, and opening/closing procedures
• Maintain reservation systems, floor plans, and daily operational checklists
• Partner with the Executive Chef and BOH leadership to ensure seamless communication and service
• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, responsible alcohol service, and company policies
• Support private events, special activations, and continuous improvements to operations and guest satisfaction

Compensation and Benefits 

• $30.00-$35.00/hour
