Labor & Employment Associate Attorney

Direct Counsel is seeking a Labor & Employment Associate Attorney to join a prestigious Am Law firm in San Francisco, CA .

This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney with 5+ years of employment litigation experience to join a sophisticated Labor & Employment practice. The successful candidate will represent employers in a broad range of employment disputes, including single-plaintiff litigation and complex wage and hour class actions, while also providing strategic employment counseling.

Responsibilities

• Represent employers in employment litigation in state and federal courts.

• Handle single-plaintiff employment cases and wage and hour class actions.

• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other litigation filings.

• Manage all phases of discovery, including e-discovery, written discovery, and depositions.

• Appear in court hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and other proceedings.

• Advise employers on employment law compliance and workplace issues.

• Collaborate with clients and litigation teams to develop case strategy and resolve disputes.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.

• Active membership in the California Bar .

• 5+ years of employment litigation experience.

• Experience handling single-plaintiff employment matters and wage and hour class actions.

• Deposition and courtroom experience is required.

• Employment counseling experience is preferred.

• Familiarity with the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure and e-discovery practices.

• Excellent legal research, writing, analytical, and advocacy skills.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: $365,000-$435,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
