Are you a hardware engineer with a passion for electronics?

Expleo are recruiting for several hardware engineers on a senior level for my client based in Essex. This role boasts remote working and regular travel to different client sites in England and Europe. The successful hardware engineer will have a background in electronics and knowledge in ACDC & DCDC converter technology.

Duties and responsibilities of a hardware engineer –

• Concept analysis and main component identification
• Hardware project planning and control
• Specification writing
• Block diagram drafting
• Schematic capture and layout
• DFMEA analysis
• Worst case analysis
• Reliability analysis
• FMEDA analysis
• Identify innovative and cost effective HW technologies that could give EIBU a technological and/or economic benefit.
• Attend fairs, seminars and conferences as required to keep up-to-date with latest developments within the automotive electronics arena.
• Write report on technologies

Requirements of a hardware engineer –

• Extensive experience of designing several power converters (DCDC, ACDC)
• Excellent knowledge of power conversion for low voltage (<60 V) and high voltage (>60 V to <800 V)
• Experience in high power conversion units (>2KW), high currents (>100A) and high voltage (>250V)
• Experience in DCDC control loops. Experience in real time digital control for switch mode power supplies an advantage.
• Experience in the automotive industry
