The RN is responsible for patient assessment, prioritization of care, implementation of nursing interventions, medication administration, monitoring of patient conditions, emergency interventions, documentation, and collaboration with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide safe, compassionate, and evidence-based nursing care to emergency department patients.Perform timely and comprehensive patient assessments.Prioritize patient care based on clinical condition, acuity, and changing patient needs.Monitor patients closely and recognize changes or deterioration in clinical status.Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans.Administer medications, IV therapies, treatments, and emergency interventions as ordered.Assist physicians and other healthcare professionals with emergency procedures and treatments.Provide care to patients across various age groups and clinical conditions.Collaborate with physicians, specialists, EMS personnel, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation and medical records.Educate patients and families regarding treatment, medications, follow-up care, and discharge instructions.Maintain patient safety, privacy, dignity, and confidentiality.Follow infection prevention, emergency preparedness, quality, and safety standards.Maintain clinical competencies and participate in continuing education and quality improvement activities.Perform additional emergency nursing duties as assigned.QualificationsCurrent Registered Nurse (RN) license in Oklahoma or applicable Compact RN license.Graduate of an accredited nursing program; ADN, Diploma, or BSN accepted.Current BLS certification.Minimum 1 year of acute-care or emergency nursing experience preferred.Strong clinical assessment, critical-thinking, prioritization, and decision-making skills.Ability to remain calm and effective in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.Strong communication and teamwork skills.Ability to work day, evening, night, weekend, and holiday schedules as required by the assigned facility.Preferred Emergency Nursing ExperienceCandidates with experience in the following areas are encouraged to apply:Emergency Department / Emergency RoomTrauma NursingCritical Care / ICUHigh-Acuity Emergency CarePediatric Emergency CareAcute-Care NursingEmergency Procedures and Moderate SedationCertificationsAdditional certifications may be required or preferred depending on the assigned facility, including:ACLSPALSTNCCENPCModerate SedationOther emergency or unit-specific certificationsCompensation & ScheduleFull-time, part time and PRN opportunities availableDay, evening, and night shifts availableWeekend and holiday rotation may applyShift differentials may be available depending on the facilityCompensation and schedule may vary based on facility, experience, specialty, and locationWhy Join NurseAmerica?NurseAmerica connects qualified healthcare professionals with opportunities that align with their clinical experience, location, schedule, and career goals.
