As a Cashier, you'll be the face of our store providing fast, friendly, and accurate checkout experiences while helping customers find what they need. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys customer interaction, values teamwork, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.Hourly Pay: $16.90 – $19.80Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, life insurance, & in-store discountsWhat You Will DoGreet every customer with a warm and welcoming attitudeAccurately ring up purchases using computerized registersBag groceries with care, keeping customer preferences in mindMemorize product codes for produce and bulk itemsKeep your station clean, organized, and stocked throughout your shiftAssist with store upkeep when not checking out customers (cleaning, stocking, facing shelves)Help customers locate products and answer questionsTake and follow up on special orders with department managersEnsure price accuracy and report discrepancies on shelf tagsSupport overall store safety, cleanliness, and merchandising standardsPerform other duties as assigned by your Supervisor or Lead CashierWhat You BringExperience & Skills: Previous customer service experience (cashiering is a plus) Basic math skills and attention to detail Comfortable using computerized register systems Clear communication skills in English (verbal and written)Customer Focus & Abilities: Friendly, dependable, and approachable attitude Able to multitask and stay accurate in a busy environment Willing to jump in and support your team wherever needed Eager to learn product knowledge and assist customers confidentlyPhysical RequirementsStand for extended periods (up to 8 hours per shift)Frequent use of touchscreen registers and scannersPush/pull products across the scanner and handle cashLift up to 50 lbs., bend, squat, reach overhead, and climb laddersAnswer phones and engage with customers face-to-faceSchedule RequirementsFlexible availability including weekends, evenings, and holidays as neededWhy Join Mother's Market?Join a community-focused company rooted in wellness, sustainability, and exceptional service.
