Airway Transportation Systems Specialist

Serves as an Airway Transportation Systems Specialist (ATSS). All duties of an ATSS are tied to maintaining safe and efficient operating capacity of the vast and complex network of electronics systems required for the world's largest air traffic control and navigation system. ATSS personnel install, evaluate, maintain, modify and certify facilities, services and equipment that support the National Airspace System (NAS). Specialized Experience: To qualify for this position you must demonstrate in your application that you possess one year specialized experience equivalent to the next lower level of the FV-G, FG/GS-11. Specialized experience is defined as experience in the FV-2101 occupation or in a related occupation, which equips the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position. Examples of specialized experience include completion of equipment specific academic and OJT instruction and demonstrated field. Specialized experience is: experience in maintaining and certifying FAA facilities and services, in multiple disciplines, utilizing FAA directives, policies and procedures. #J-18808-Ljbffr
