Job Opportunity – Pediatric Operating Room Registered Nurse – Wisconsin

Start Date: October 26, 2026

Location: Madison, Wisconsin

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Days, 10-hour shifts, 0700-1730, Monday through Friday with weeknight call (1x weekly, Monday-Thursday), weekend call (1x every 6-8 weekends), and holiday call as operationally needed

Highlights:

• Work with a comprehensive pediatric surgical team at a Magnet-designated facility specializing in complex pediatric cases
• Exposure to diverse case mix including pediatric OR, ambulatory OR, pediatric trauma, and kidney transplant procedures
• Epic charting system experience required
• Level I Pediatric Trauma Center experience with advanced surgical capabilities
• 32 hours of orientation provided with two pre-approved time off periods per contract
• Interdisciplinary support including respiratory services and pharmacy

Requirements:

• Active Wisconsin RN license or compact state RN license
• BLS certification (American Heart Association only) required
• PALS certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years of acute care pediatric OR experience within the last 3 years
• Kidney transplant experience required
• Pediatric OR, ambulatory OR, and pediatric trauma experience required
• Level I and Level II Trauma Center experience required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Must pass cardiac telemetry competency exam (pediatric and adult) with strict passing criteria
• Experience with administration of blood products, code response, trauma management, and transplant regulatory charting
• Ability to float as needed and fulfill on-call responsibilities
• Must reside 50 miles or more from the facility
