IRCA is a prominent international provider of semi-finished ingredients for the bakery, pastry, and gelato markets. They cater to independent producers as well as large food manufacturers, including consumer packaged goods (CPG) companies. The company's core product offerings consist of chocolate, chocolate decorations, creams, pastry mixes, gelato ingredients, and various other bakery and pastry ingredients.
Headquartered in Italy, IRCA was acquired by Advent International, a global private equity firm, in July 2022. The company has demonstrated a strong history of growth over the past decade. As part of its growth strategy, IRCA made two bolt-on acquisitions in 2022. They acquired Cesarin, a provider of candied fruits, and Anastasi, a supplier of pistachio ingredients. These acquisitions expanded IRCA's product portfolio and market reach.
More recently, IRCA acquired the leading manufacturer of sweet and cereal products in Europe and the US. The target company focuses on high-value specialty ingredients for the Food Manufacturers segment. Their product range includes sweet particulates, chocolate confections, baked inclusions, variegates, and fruit purées. This deal, successfully completed in March of 2023, is a transformative move for IRCA, establishing them as a global leader in the semi-finished ingredients industry.
Essential Responsibilities- ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES include the following.
- Human safety, food safety, adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices, and product quality are the highest priorities. Other duties may be assigned.
- Replenish supplies, clean restrooms, mop floors, empty trash and replace liners, and all other duties entailing housekeeping.
- Chemical Inventory reported to Ecolab. If necessary, order email or review with manager.
- Assist with wash down inspections.
- Know and use appropriate cleaning chemicals. Use chemical dispensing stations. Knows how to perform titrations and calculate measure concentration.
- Ability to safely handle full strength chemicals using full PPE.
- Removing debris from the warehouse and walkways of the facility throughout the shift. Reusable scrap is separated and loaded onto trailers. Bales cardboard and plastic for recycling.
- Cleans floors using mop and bucket as well as a walk behind or riding floor scrubber.
- Cleans rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, and locker rooms and other work areas.
- Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies.
- Dusts furniture and equipment. Polishes metalwork.
- Washes walls, ceiling, and woodwork. Washes windows, door panels, and sills.
- Replenishes bathroom supplies. Replaces light bulbs.
- Performs grounds maintenance in all seasons, this will include removing snow, trash or spillage from plant grounds.
- Performs all other related duties as required.
Experience, Education & Qualifications Requirements

- EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE : Six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
- LANGUAGE SKILLS : Appropriate English language ability in order to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, SOPs, and other related documents. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- MATHEMATICAL SKILLS : Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent, and ability to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- REASONING ABILITY : Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 55 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 55 pounds. The employee must frequently bend, twist, and reach. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to extreme heat. The employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Employees may be required to work outside in the summer and winter months.

Salary Base Range of $19.00 - $23.00 per hour for Employees Located in Illinois. Employees will receive a shift Premium of $1.00. The “base salary range” provided above is a good faith estimate of what we expect to pay for this position. The range provided is for Illinois employees as Irca Group is required by Illinois State Law to post pay rates. Irca Group reserves the right to pay outside of the given range based on a variety of factors including but not limited to candidate skills and experience, complexity of the job, budgetary factors, and location/geography. Irca Group conducts regular reviews of compensation ranges and therefore reserves the right to alter this range at any given time.
