Warehouse Associate - 2nd Shift

Position Description Ryder is immediately hiring Full-Time Warehouse Associates in Ladson, SC. The position pays weekly with an hourly rate of $19.00 and an additional $1.00 per hour for assignments on a 2nd shift. Benefits On-the-Job Paid Training Safety Gear Provided Safety is the First Priority State-of-the-Art Equipment and Caring Leadership Requirements High school diploma or equivalent preferred Six months of related warehouse experience required One (1) year or more related warehouse experience preferred Powered industrial truck certification required; ability to operate forklifts, cherry pickers, pallet jacks, etc., and to maintain equipment Ability to read, perform basic mathematics in English for safety, work instructions, and policies Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted Ability to input data into the Warehouse Management System(s) in use Work overtime as assigned Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with peers, supervisors, and customers Self-driven, flexible, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment Highly organized, excellent time-management skills, and attention to detail Ability to operate other warehouse or manufacturing equipment as required (e.g., packaging line) Responsibilities Package, kit, and/or assemble orders and materials Load and unload inbound/outbound trailers and ensure accurate scanning and docking Assist train dock employees on new procedures and maintain facility security at shift end Investigate and resolve scanning issues, housekeeping, and evidence of product or container damage Perform picking and packing duties following company policies and procedures Conduct material moves with associated physical and logical transactions Participate in workgroup and team activities to improve warehouse operations Maintain housekeeping of assigned area Perform additional duties as assigned Some positions require additional screening that may include employment and education verification, motor vehicle records check, a road test, and/or background or badging requirements of the customer to which you are assigned.
