Information Services Associate

The Lansing Public Library is seeking a customer-focused and tech-savvy Information Services Associate to support patrons in accessing library resources, technology, and information. If you're passionate about public service, lifelong learning, and building inclusive community spaces, we want to hear from you! Key Responsibilities: Assist patrons with reference and information inquiries in person, by phone, and email. Support patrons with public computers, printing, and digital resources. Help maintain and promote the library’s collection through reader’s advisory, material displays, and resource recommendations. Assist in the development and delivery of library programs and events. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of library services, policies, and digital tools. Register patrons for programs and study room use. Renew license plate stickers. Contribute to creating a welcoming, inclusive environment for all visitors. Qualifications: Bachelor degree preferred. Minimum of two years towards a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. Minimum 1 year experience working in a library setting. Experience with an automated ILS, preferably SirsiDynix. Minimum 1 year customer service experience. Must have reliable transportation. Must work days, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. Ability to lift 20 lbs. Background check required.
