Steel Erector

Location: Watertown, SD

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour (based on experience)

Schedule: 55-60 hours per week (overtime available)

Travel: Occasional travel required, home every weekend

We are seeking a skilled construction laborer to join our structural steel building team. This position involves the installation and erection of structural steel components for agricultural and commercial buildings. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, and has hands-on experience with steel construction or structural welding.

• Erect and install structural steel components including beams, columns, and trusses
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications
• Align and secure steel structures using bolts, welding, and other fastening methods
• Safely operate lifts, cranes, and other construction equipment
• Perform rigging and material handling duties
• Ensure all work complies with company standards and safety regulations
• Work collaboratively with team members and communicate effectively on job sites

• Preferred: Minimum of 2 years of steel erection or structural welding experience
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is highly preferred
• Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions
• Strong understanding of construction safety practices
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding work
• Reliable transportation and strong work ethic
• Dependable, self-motivated, and team-oriented

This is a Permanent position based out of Hayti, SD.

The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $62400.00/yr.
