Radiologic Technologist Contingent

Employment Information Employment Type: Part time. Shift: Rotating Shift. Position Overview If you are looking for a full time Radiologic Technologist position, this could be your opportunity! Responsibilities Perform radiologic procedures at a technical level without supervision, including routine radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures on patients of all ages. Assist with radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures as needed. Prepare and administer contrast media according to department policy. Demonstrate correct anatomic positioning skills and apply immobilization devices as required. Develop exposed films, reload cassettes and position patients to obtain desired views. Retrieve and call reports to physician's office, nursing units, surgery and ER upon request. Review exposed radiographs for proper positioning, technique and identification. Perform daily warm‑up and quality‑control checks for each radiographic room and equipment assigned. Perform visual preventive safety inspections and complete tube warm‑up procedures. Record quality‑control activities, report dangerous equipment conditions and fill out maintenance forms. Practice sterile techniques and isolation procedures to prevent cross‑contamination. Respond quickly to beeper calls and provide radiation protection to patients, self and staff per safety standards. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED or equivalent. Completion of an AMA‑approved radiologic technology program. Registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Excellent customer service orientation and communication skills. Previous one year experience as a Rad Tech or Radiologist (preferred). Ability to use independent judgment, maintain integrity and demonstrate initiative in applying prescribed ionizing radiation for diagnostic purposes. We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
