About the Position

• Description: Provide independent inpatient and outpatient cardiovascular care, evaluating and managing patients with acute and chronic cardiac conditions in collaboration with cardiologists.

• Job Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and manage cardiac patients independently.

  • Provide inpatient cardiology care for approximately 10–15 patients daily.

  • Perform physical examinations and develop evidence-based treatment plans.

  • Interpret EKGs and manage cardiac medications.

  • Perform and interpret cardiac stress tests; training available if needed.

  • Coordinate referrals, follow-up care, and continuity of treatment.

  • Collaborate with cardiologists and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.

  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and complete credentialing requirements.

Requirements

• • Current New Jersey Nurse Practitioner license.

  • Active NJ DEA, CDS, and applicable certifications.

  • Minimum 2 years of cardiology experience as an NP.

  • Prior critical care experience required.

  • Demonstrated ability to independently evaluate and treat cardiac patients.
