Microbiology Analyst- Environment Testing, Hanover MD
$18 - $22 per hourEurofins Agroscience Services North Carolina
Eurofins Environment Testing seeks a Microbiology Analyst to prepare and analyze environmental water samples using EPA-approved methods in Hanover, Maryland. The role involves performing microbiology techniques, maintaining laboratory equipment, and entering data into LIMS systems while adhering to GMP/GLP standards.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze environmental water samples using standard EPA methodology and SOPs
- Perform microbiology analyses for target organisms including Total Coliforms, E. coli, and Enterococcus
- Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment including incubators, water baths, and refrigerators
- Enter analysis data into LIMS system and perform quality control testing as required
- Maintain laboratory cleanliness, manage inventory, and perform waste management using autoclaves and disinfectants
Requirements
- Environmental Science or Biology degree, or degree with minimum 4 credit hours of Microbiology
- Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship
- Ability to lift objects up to 50 pounds
- Professional English proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking
- Computer skills including word processing and database management software
- Experience with microbiological laboratory testing procedures
- Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
Compensation: $18-22/hour
