Title: Pediatric Dentist

Location: Sacramento, CA

Shift: Mon - Fri (Days)

Setting: FQHC | Community Health Outpatient Clinic

Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Pediatric Dentist to join a mission-driven community health organization serving underserved and diverse pediatric populations. The ideal candidate is experienced in treating children of all ages, including those with special healthcare needs, and is passionate about improving access to high-quality oral healthcare in a community health setting.

Responsibilities:

Provide comprehensive dental care to infants, children, and adolescents, including preventive, restorative, and emergency services

Examine pediatric patients, diagnose dental and oral conditions, and develop age-appropriate treatment plans

Perform procedures such as fillings, crowns, extractions, space maintainers, and preventive treatments (sealants, fluoride)

Educate patients and caregivers on oral hygiene, nutrition, and prevention of dental disease

Create a child-friendly, positive dental experience to reduce anxiety and build long-term oral health habits

Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding treatment plans and follow-up care

Requirements:

Graduate of a CODA-accredited dental school (DDS or DMD)

Completion of Pediatric Dentistry Residency program

License to practice dentistry in California

Minimum 2 years of experience working with pediatric or undeserved population

BE or BC in Pediatric Dentistry preferred

DEA registration, Current CPR/BLS certification required

Experience in community health clinics, FQHCs, public health, or safety-net settings strongly required
