Quality Engineer

Leidos seeks a Quality Engineer for a weekend shift role supporting mission-critical IT and software solutions. In this position, you will design and execute manual and automated tests, validate system reliability and performance, and ensure compliance with security and regulatory requirements. You will analyze defects, provide clear documentation, and collaborate with developers and project teams to resolve issues. Working in a mission-driven, highly collaborative environment, you'll help drive continuous improvement and deliver high-quality solutions for national security, health, and engineering clients.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute functional, regression, and performance tests for complex IT systems
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts and quality tools
• Analyze defects, trends, and metrics to drive continuous improvement
• Collaborate with developers, architects, and project managers to resolve issues
• Ensure compliance with security, regulatory, and customer requirements
• Support weekend deployments, validations, and incident triage
• Document test plans, results, and quality reports for stakeholders
• Contribute to process improvements and quality standards across teams
