AdventHealth Porter Centre for Behavioral Health is looking for a full-time Advanced Practiced Provider (APP), either a Psychiatric Physician Assistant or a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). The primary tasks of the psychiatric APP are to assess, diagnose, and treat patients with a variety of behavioral health conditions. The psychiatric APP meets patients both in-person and virtually. GENERAL SUMMARY: The Behavioral Health APP (Psychiatric Physician Assistant or Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner), under a physician's collaboration, provides assessment and treatment to patients with psychiatric conditions. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES : Provides assessment and medication management for patients in the AdventHealth Porter Centre for Behavioral Health. Assures timely and accurate entries of medical histories, progress notes, and treatment recommendations in the patients' medical records. Assures all patient management documentation, including pharmaceutical modalities, is outlined in the patient's medical record. Practices within scope, as delineated by education and training including prescriptive privileges and in accordance with collaborating physician guidelines. Collaborates with the clinic Medical Assistants. Refers patients for laboratory, radiology and other specialty care as needed for services that cannot be provided at the practice. Assures that adequate patient health records and confidentiality are maintained under HIPAA regulations. Participates with supervising physician in a periodic review of the patients' health records and treatment plans. Appropriately charges for services rendered according to Federal, State, and third-party payors laws, rules and regulations. Performs other clinical duties as required, such as evaluating and treating patients in the intensive outpatient programs and Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS). KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE STRONGLY PREFERRED: Must have knowledge of local, state and federal regulations regarding the delivery and billing of healthcare services. KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED: Experience in either an outpatient or inpatient psychiatric setting. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Master's degree and certification from an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED: Three years of experience in a behavioral health setting. LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED: Psychiatric Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner Current Colorado Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner license.
