Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department role at a Level I trauma center, requiring VA or compact RN license and Epic charting experience.

Details

Level I trauma center emergency department

Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM

Every other weekend required

Candidates must float within scope if needed

Shift start times of 7a or 11a may be required

Requirements

Active VA or compact state RN license required in hand at time of consideration

Minimum 3 years of ER experience required, with Level I or II trauma experience highly preferred

BSN preferred; diploma and Associate degree graduates from accredited programs (ACEN or CCNE) also accepted

Epic charting system experience required

Required certifications: ACLS, BLS

Preferred certifications: CPI, TNCC

Skilled in IV therapy, phlebotomy, arterial line management, and starting/maintaining IVs

Experience with BiPAP/CPAP management and care of ventilated patients required

Pediatric and burn care experience preferred

Experience with continuous IV paralytics, sedation, and vasopressors required

Experience with procedural sedation administration and monitoring preferred

Skilled in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and emergency response

Triage experience required

Pulmonary artery line experience preferred

2 professional references required

Travel nursing experience required
